Still in the giving mood? Visit participating businesses in the Brookside Shops to donate, help those in need and “Spread the Love” through the end of February. Spread the Love is a peanut butter and jelly drive benefiting the JFS Food Pantry on 63rd Street. Each month, our friends at JFS distribute approximately 700 jars of peanut butter to individuals and families in need. Jelly is also very popular but costly for food pantries to purchase through food networks. The drive helps collect the much need resource and has a goal of collecting 2000 jars of peanut butter and other spreadable. Apply now to be considered for the 36th Brookside Art Annual to be held Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, 2022. Artist applications for are open through midnight, January 15, 2022. Apply by midnight December 15, 2021 for an early registration discount on jury fees. The Brookside Art Annual is Kansas City’s first outdoor art show of the year, attracts a lot of buyers and arts enthusiasts, and is ranked amongst the best in the nation.
