Although it's over the 2019 parade will live on in our memories. We celebrated A Little Bit O’ Blarney with perfect weather – sunny and in the 60s. Thousands of attendees from across the metro helped us create one of largest and best attended Brookside parades ever. Parade Grand Marshal, KSHB’s Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak and Sunny the Weather Dog (at her first parade) fired up the crowd before hand and set the tone for the parade - fun and sunny. Over 100 organizations and businesses from across Kansas City and the surrounding communities participated with entries ranging from bagpipes to Irish Setters, Mr. Peanut and the peanut mobile to Sporting KC’s Blue the Dog, and calliopes to some of the City’s best dance and drill teams. We were also joined by local celebrities including Mayor Sly James and County Executive and former Royal, Frank White and a host of sitting elected officials in classic cars of all types.
