The Brookside Business Association and nearly 70 Brookside businesses prepare for the busy holiday season and look to welcome visitors from throughout the region. The holiday season officially begins Thursday, December 6 at 6:00 p.m. when Brookside holds the “Christmas in the Park.”
This year’s event includes the Dickens Carolers, Holiday Trombones, and St. Elizabeth’s Children’s Choir. Loren Halifax from Channel 4 will emcee the event and conduct the drawings for wonderful gift certificates from area merchants, as well as $100 Brookside gift card. Visitors from Wornall House will be present in their period clothing along with Santa Claus, thanks to The New Dime Store. Enjoy special treats and refreshments from Cosentino’s Price Chopper, The Roasterie, and Michael Forbes. Some merchants will be open later that evening and offering discounts valid only the night of the event.
Brookside merchants make the holidays easy for shoppers looking for that one special gift. With over 70 shops and restaurants, Brookside is the destination spot for holiday shopping at a casual pace. Eclectic stores and fine dining make Brookside the preferred choice this holiday season.
Located from Wornall to Oak Street and between 62nd Terrace and Meyer Blvd, Brookside is only minutes from the Plaza, Leawood, South Kansas City and many other Kansas City locations.
