It’s been 4 years since barre3 opened their doors at 18 W 63rd Street in Brookside (right: throwback pic from 2017). Although there have been ups and downs during the pandemic, their community has grown stronger together. 2020 was a year of adaptation - going from all in-studio classes last year, to livestream classes from home during lockdown last spring, to reopening last summer with a hybrid model of in-studio, outdoor, livestream, and online classes. In order to keep everyone safe, classes have been capped at 50% capacity, masks required for in-studio classes, and they have cleaned and disinfected after every class throughout the pandemic.
barre3 is a total-body balanced workout combining cardio, strength-training, and mindfulness, but it is more than an exercise studio- It’s a place where you’re encouraged to listen to your body, where movement is joyful, and where differences are celebrated. Their dedicated team of instructors, front desk, and play lounge staff make every client feel like they belong.
And beyond workouts, parents will be happy to know that they have a play lounge for children ages 2 months and older. They also offer creative movement dance classes for children ages 3 to 5 and plan to have kids yoga classes next session. That means you can get your workout in while your child learns and plays with other kids.
To help celebrate they are heading outdoors for their "barre3 Together" event on Saturday, May 22nd at 10 am. The event includes a free 45-minute barre3 class. So grab you yoga mat and throw on your athletic shoes and find out what barre3 and the barre3 community is all about.
Bring your yoga mat and wear athletic shoes.
Hope to see you there!
